SUMMARY:Healing Materialism
DESCRIPTION:Story Medicine Worldwide Presents\nHealing Materialism\nUniting Through Shared Stories\nA Story Medicine Worldwide Workshop\nHow have money and material possessions shaped our relationships\, our values\, and our country? What stories have we inherited about success and well-being? And how might discovering those stories within ourselves contribute to healing the world around us? \nIn this two-hour workshop\, participants will be introduced to an Indigenous healing modality that blends ceremony\, community learning\, reflective writing\, and storytelling. We will begin by calling on our ancestors to accompany us in this important work. Creating a foundation of trust and respect\, we will reflect on and write about our relationship with money and material possessions. Participants will have the opportunity to share their stories in a space of attentive listening without advice\, interpretation\, or judgment. \nNo writing experience is necessary. This is not about writing well; it is about listening deeply\, to ourselves\, to one another\, and to the stories that have shaped us. \nThis workshop invites you into the work of transformation and healing\, of shaking up the status quo. \nSpace is limited to preserve the intimate nature of the Story Medicine process. Advance registration is required.\nSaturday\, August 29\, 2026\n6:30 – 8:30 pm\nFacilitator: Heidi Wood\nCertified Story Medicine Teacher\nDonnie’s Donuts\n705-1 Highland Ave. NE\nAtlanta\, GA\nCost: $45\nLearn more and register by scanning the QR Code\n\n  \n  \n  \nOr visit: storymedicineworldwide.com/shop
